Common Wealth games
Starts next week, does anyone really care?

I live around the area of the games and on Radio 2 yesterday a presenter said the city must be buzzing in anticipation and excitement. it really isn't....

Weird as I like sport a lot, but honestly have no excitement about it at all.

Can you imagine?

They really are cancelling her and removing all trace of her from her own creation where possible aren't they. Wonder if she's got grounds to take legal action or anything, seen as I guess it's her IP or whatever?

Cricket and 3x3 basketball can fuck right off. All the other sports are pretty solid though.

Be interested to see the stadium
If its even half way adequate WHU should be using their influence through Lady Brady to convince the government that the Brummie Stadium should be the permanent home of UK athletics and the money pit London Stadium be sold for a PEPPERCORN to our club.

Hopefully Australia put in a good farewell performance before leaving the Commonwealth when QE2 passes away.

Too many sports now taking place.

Just stick to the main ones, no need for cricket and football.

The official song for it is a cracker, Dan and co on BBC breakfast have already been all over it weeks before the competition even starts.

You can imagine how good it is, all about Birmingham too.

The soundtrack of the summer.

Yup- love a good multi sport event. Plus the yanks, chinese and russians aren't there to hoover up all the medals so it's more fun to see where they go. Obviously the standard isn't quite as high in several of the sports but so what.

Also it's great having Scotland, NI and Wales there as separate countries given the huge deal they make of it if they beat England at anything, but almost always England beats them.

Plus they have squash, which i really enjoy watching.
